  1. Go to the counter. IRCTC is a fake site. Sometimes it charges you the money but doesn't give you the ticket. The printed ticket by you has no validity. This is because they have introduced the system but not educated the TTEs that there can be e-tickets also.

  2. You can book the ticket on line at the following website:

    http://www.irctc.co.in/

  3. You can book the ticket on the net. go to www.irctc.co.in and register yourself and book the ticket. you can opt for e-ticket and just carry the print out of the ticket.

Below Answer Kalyan gave you incorrect info

    Cheers

  4. The second answer by Kalyan is bogus.

You can definitely book tickets at http://irctc.co.in

It is owned by Indian Railways.

There are 2 kinds of tickets:

e-tickets which you can print yourself

i-tickets which are mailed to your address

Payment is thru a secure payment gateway using a credit card

Use this convenient mode of booking

I have never had a problem with my tickets or ant TTEs.

  5. visit for more info:

    http://www.bangalorecityvisionindia.com

  6. ya it is possiable to book ur ticket through internet . But u should have a credit/ atm card with you

  7. I have booked thru irctc plenty of times (50 +) and travelled without any problem.  The only problem is that the IRCTC site sometimes gets loaded very much and it could take some time to get it booked. Otherwise, it works extremely well.
