How to bottle companies put the tops/lids on plastic 16 oz. bottles without opening them? Give site plz.?

Its the same no matter what size.

You know how when you open a plastic bottle, theres that little ring of plastic left on the bottle?

Well, that is attached to the lid at production. If you'll look, there is a ridge just above it on the bottle.

They make the lids, then s***w them onto the bottles.

When it is screwed on, the little ring part is forced over the ridge, then becomes stuck down there.

So when you start to unscrew the lid, the ring is pulled up until it hits the ridge, then stays put, which is the popping sound you get when you open it.
