Question:

How to box a freaking tank?

Yeah, so this guy stole my wallet. Me and a buddy of mine robbed him and got the money back. So this guy gets this beast he knows to track us down. He ends up catching up to my buddy, and my buddy pinned it all on me. (He ain't my buddy anymore.) This guy goes to my house and threatens my mother, which got me kicked out of the house.

So now I'm homeless, and have a guy who is literally 6"8 and 375 pounds after me. Even if I wanted to fold and give the money back, I couldn't because my ex-buddy has half the money, and I refuse to snitch no matter how dirty he did me over. To compare, I stand 5"8 in my shoes and weigh 195 pounds. I'm extremely muscular for my height, but this guy is bigger than most pro wrestlers. He has a full foot of height on me, god knows how much reach and is roughly twice my weight. And no, he's not obese, just pure tank. I have like 3 years of ju-juitsu under my belt, but I doubt it'll help much. Whats my best bet to not wind up in the hospital?

  1. 6 ft 8 and around 375 pounds? god have mercy, when you are fighting against a beast that large, then fighting dirty has to be one of the alternatives.

Like you said, boxing the big guy is not going to really work that well, so you're going have to use your wits, and do anything possible that can hurt him, biting, striking the groin, striking the shin, the kneecap, the eyes, did I mention striking the groin? use a weapon, it may seem crazy but when you're up against something that huge, its not crazy not to.

Even Bruce Lee himself said that he will bite his opponent or use dirty methods if he had got himself in a tough situation.

  2. Pick and choose your battles.

  3. Dude if u and him get into a little brawl then I believe you`ll be much faster than him. If hes bigger then he has to move more mass around which takes longer and h**l probably be much slower. Do you have any boxing experience? Bob and weave, you can try fighting south paw but if u can get him in a submission and overpower him with a good arm bar, guillotine you jiu jitsu should help i believe you can end it quick and beat the **** out of him when hes down, then you'll prolly get his respect and be all oh dang i better not mess with him.  You gotta believe you can win also, that is key to winning.

I wish You the best of luck Good Luck!

  4. Don't try and box the guy, chances are your not going to be able to get any power on your punches punching up at a guy 6'8, if you can reach his head at all.

(the higher you have to punch upwards the less power you can generate, punching up at 6'8? Its going to feel like a fly bite to him, and if you get close enough with your shorter arms to hit him, your going to be close enough for him to grab ya)

If you can go in as though your going to punch him, then duck to the side and give it all you got and stomp your foot into the side of his knee, hard enough that it snaps it in two, no matter how big they are their knee is still just a bone joint held in place by ligaments. So destroy it. Then when he goes down bring your knee into his head a few times for good messure.

Even if he presses charges, your story will win out in court, especially when the judge see's the size difference. Chances are this guy has a few assults on his record as well. He wouldnt stand a chance in court.

Or pay a crack head to stab him.

Ok and dont listen to that guy above my post, at 6'8  375 lbs, good luck holding an arm bar on the guy, and im guessing the guy probably does not have much of a neck so a choke is out of the qestion. Thats why they have weight classes now, Im 5'8 189 lbs and I know how to box well and I am pretty tough, but 6'8 375...thats a freakin mutant, Id take the sure way out and break his knee, Even if he does come back when he heals up, his knee will never be the same and you'll know where to attack. But chances are he wont come back after you give him a perma-Limp.

  5. get a bat, knife, and gun. u should be good to go. but too late. srry. hope u recover well.

  6. If nothing else, your thinking rationally. You can have all the formal instruction you want, but the truth is weight classes exist for a reason. Even in MMA. Sure, there are exceptions to every rule, and there is always a chance that an extremely skilled fighter will defeat an extremely huge fighter. But honestly this would be like an 11 year old with martial arts training trying to fight an 18 year old with no training. Guess whos going to win?

    Now for the positives:

At 5"8 with a 195 pound build, assuming your in decent shape, you probably pack a considerable punch. Granted his punch is twice your mass, your speed should level the playing field enough so that your punch force is in the same ballpark.

Should you decide to box with the guy, interestingly enough do exactly what you've been doing when you "box." Close the distance to neutralize his reach, and do as much damage as you can. Then get the **** out of there. Realize that evasion takes priority over doing your damage, since a few bare fisted hits from someone that size will probably end the fight.

With any luck, you'll atleast put up a better fight than expected and maybe gain enough respect from him to not pulverize you.

Should you decide to go with your strong suite and wrestle, the situation is a bit more grim. There is no way in h**l you're going to overpower a 375 pound man. It's simply not going to happen. There is a chance of a takedown if you shoot in, but theres a greater chance that you won't be able to budge him quick enough, and he'll drop himself on top of you. Your best bet is to use your speed, get behind him, lock in a chokehold and hold on for dear life. Wrap your legs around his chest to make it harder to break, and squeeze harder than you've squeezed in your life. Regardless of size, a proper blood-choke can end a fight in less than 30 seconds. Once he's weakened, go to war with his face. Knees, punches, whatever. If you rough a guy that size up, you probably won't get to many more challengers in a small town.

Your best bet in my book is to do the "Friday" technique. You know, like Craig vs. Debo. Hit the guy in the face with a brick, or a similar foreign object. Then beat him with everything you've got. If a cop shows up you could end up with an aggravated battery charge or assault with a deadly weapon or if it goes real bad voluntary manslaughter, but I don't think you'd have much trouble convincing a cop/jury that it was the best you could do to reasonably defend yourself. It looks even better in your favor if you try to avoid the fight first.

Whatever you do, good luck, and if it were me, my "buddy" would be next on my list.
