How to break a vacuum?

Question

bought 4 large size gastronome deep trays, stainless steel double wrapped in plastic bags

through storage and transportation the d**n things have all wedged together, and nothing will separate them, the harder we pull, the greater the suction sets up a vacuum

ok so it's only a current event for me, but you guys are so clever and inventive, ideas please

(have tried the old heating/chilling trick)

Just leave it, and go and buy another 3 but don't stack them on the way home.

What's a gastronome anyway?  For growing mushrooms?

Drill a hole through one of the trays to break the vaccum.

Pour vegetable oil all round the edges and instead of pulling try sliding them against each other.Lol poor you.

Blow torch.Melt the plastic at one edge then quickly slide a knife in! Don't burn down the kitchen.

Soak in hot soapy water. The heat will make the metal expand and the soap will act as a lubricant.

Can you get a thin spatula knife down between them?  You might be able to exert some pressure to break the vacuum that way.

Hmmm...shall i call my Dad? Hes a pro at this kind of stuff...i did...he suggested the old heating/chilling trick...wheres its supposed to contract...did you try soaking them in a large vessel of warm water...water should seep in & something may give...don't laugh...just thinking out aloud at what i would try...hope it helps!
