How to break and damage a mini dv tape?

Question

Is there any way to break a mini dv tape after it is recorded on so no one will ever be able to play it back, but yet at the same time, it will appear to be in good condition?

Possibly tear the black tape video tracking in the back of the mini dv tape...

Something quick and easy so no one will ever be able to play is back, but yet so no one will know you intentionally did it...?

find someone with a tape degausser, it will magnetically erase a tape to a factory new condition.

if you can find something with a very strong magnetic field, that will wipe out a tape.

maybe the thing at the checkout at stores will do it? it says to keep credit cards away from it.

With some skill involved, you could get a same blank tape, open the cartridge, and swap the tape inside for a blank one.

keep in mind, oil like WD40 will contaminate a tape ; ) If done in sections, it will ruin it.  You can spin the tape with a pen or stick, and oil sections of it.  A q-tip with oil on it would do it.
