I am doing it correctly according to my coach but she couldnt figure out why I still get water when I inhale. My face is upward with one side of it put on water but somehow the little amount of water remains in my nostrils and when I inhale air, that water goes into my nose.

Do you also have this problem ? What is the solution to that ?

Thanks

  1. Try breathing through your mouth or, if the problem is that you inhale water remaining in your nostrils after you remove your face from the water, try exhaling hrough your nose before breathing in.  I used to have a problem like this, but now I always just breathe through my mouth; it's much easier.

  2. When I'm swimming, I don't breathe through my nose, I breathe through my mouth.

You might have one of your nostrils still in the water when your trying to breathe.

Try having your complete nose out of the water and if that doesn't work then I don't know what's your problem.

    Sorry if that doesn't work.
