If you just have a single gecko, it may not be feasible to breed crickets for it, but if you have a decent sized collection of reptiles, then I completely understand the need to breed feeders as they can become very expensive very quickly :)

The VERY best site to use is listed below.  I've been using this method for almost a year now and I have not had to go out and buy crickets but once to start out my little colony.  Even pictures are included as well as a detailed shopping list.  Hope that helps

your local supplier will on request allow you to purchase large quantity's of feeders then you get from them what you need when you need it --it can be a disaster if they become sick or start carrying mites

Crickets have a life span of about 6 to 8 weeks. They will need to grow 3 or 4 weeks to get big enough to feed to baby geckos. As has already been said it is a stinky and noisy culture, and difficult to sort out the size that you want to feed. Buy boxes of 500 or 1000 crickets, about 1/2 inch. They will take about 2 weeks to die of old age.
