  1. dim the lights and put on some tom jones

  2. are you gonna keep all the baby rabbits, which will turn into thousands by the end of the year? rabbits inbreed, so i would just get them altered and be over with it.

  3. Well, the first two answers, obviously didn't help any.

You should bring your female to the males cage/ Hutch, watch closely, because she may get scared, or not want to be bred at this time, and will possibly attack the buck, if this happens, you should bring her back a few days later, if she still refuses, put her in his cage, over night, and his in her cage, this should get her used t ohis scent, then bring him back to his own cage, and try again.

However if the breeding goes well, on the first try, he should do his thing, then fall to the side, or backwards, then be ready and willing if she is, in some cases the buck will make some high pitched squealing noise. To make sure she's pregnant, bring her back to his hutch 8 hours later, and repeat process.

Now she'll want to be left alone for the next couple of weeks, so you should fill her up with lots of fresh bedding, fresh water, lots and lots of hay, and her average ammount of food, some say to give her 1/2 a tums a day 3 days before she should kindle, which will be 28-31 days after the breeding. Others have said to give her 2-3 tablespoons of Apple Cider, you can mix this into her water, or fill a sepperate bottle with it.

Around the 25 day of her pregnancy, you should clean out all of the droppings, and soiled areas, then add fresh bedding.

    After the bunnies are born, check in to be sure all are alive, but don't touch them, if you see any outside of the nest, rub the does droppings on your hands{I'd wear gloves}

or, put vanilla on her nose, then move the baby back into the nest with the others.

If you see babies that aren't covered pick up your doe, and pull a little hair out from her belly, this will remind her she needs to keep working, you should spread the hair out amongest the babies.

At 2-3 weeks, they will open their eyes and become cusoius, around 4-5 weeks, they'll start to sample the moms food, and they can now start getting weaned off. By the time they are completly weaned, they will be about 6 weeks old.

I believe in, leaving them with the mom for 2-3 days, after their already eating her food, then, you can move them to their own cage. You should gring up a few table spoons of her pellets, and add either milk or water to it, so it's softer, and easier for them to eat, they should be supplied with Timothy Hay.

At no more than 2 months, the males and females should be sepperated.

    Good luck with your buns!

  4. Well first, you wud have to observe the sign of heat of the doe, and check the genitals for assurance. The doe shud be 5mnths before breedin & 6 mnths duck for crossing. After wards, allow the two in a close region for the process.

  5. I don't think there's anything involving the animal kingdom that will qualify as "perfect".  There's what we want them to do, then there's the will of the animal, and the myriad of things that can go wrong in the process as well.  It's called the natural process.  We can do things as correctly as possible and hope for the best.

If you are breeding, do you have two rabbits worth breeding?  Do you intend to raise meat rabbits, or do you intend to sell the young?  If you are selling, your rabbits should both be of the same breed (unless the breed is an acceptable cross used to improve an existing bloodline, i.e. netherland dwarf x jersey wooley), and both rabbits should be appropriately pedigreed.

If you intend to breed "perfectly", then your rabbits should be in optimal health and still fairly young.  Both should possess excellent conformation that will hopefully lead to offspring who are genetically demonstrating the same (and better) characteristics.

If you are trying to breed to get a few cute little rabbits to sell, please consider leaving the breeding to the ARBA registered rabbitries and specific breeders.  If you're not serious about showing and breeding to improve the breed (yes, just like dogs), then you're adding to the population of mutt rabbits.  This is the BYB mentality of the rabbit world.

  6. Please don't breed these rabbits.  Can you sale or give away babies?  Yes.....But, how do you know they are going to good homes?  You don't!!!!!!!!!!!  Many people assume rabbits are going to good homes because they paid for them.......NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!  People feed rabbits to snakes that need larger meals.  I have a female and a boy...my female is fixed.  They are no longer together though because my female has to be around the clock syringe fed.  VERY FEW people will do WHATEVER it takes to keep their pet alive.  So many animals are abused, neglected, and abandoned...It's extremely sickening for me as an animal lover and animal foster mother for abused and abandoned animals.  Please reconsider!!!!  If you have already let them...Have the female spade ASAP!!!!!!!!!  Please don't contribute to the over populated animal problem we already have.  Rabbits especially, breed much more than most animals and have several babies for each birth.

  7. leave them alone together and make sure that your female is a good mother because that didnt work good with me
