How to brighten up a classroom ?

My mom just got a job teaching grade 8 english in an intercity school.

Her class room is REALLY ugly, dark and gloomy and shes thinking of ways to brighten it up.

Any ideas ?

  1. I would totally have her let the kids help her with this, she could even talk to the art teacher about having a class do it as a project.

    Having the kids get involved is a great way to get them interested in being in the room.

    kids seem to like doing things that involve creativity and kids are at their most creative as teenagers .


  2. use bright colored posters and misc. ask some of the kids what stuff they are interested in -that way you brighten up the room and get the kids interested at the same time ;)

  3. congrats on the job.

    they make huge coloring book pages that the kids can color on their own, and they make really good decorations.

    my students loved them, and they brighten up the room alot, as well as boost their self esteem.

  4. get posters and that fabric wallpaper stuff that you staple into the bulletin board stuff.

  5. grade 8? pupils must be dangling in their middle teens..this is a dangerous age group..what ever you do, try to made furnitures that can resist their ever-innovative prank...read furniture reviews here www.school-furniture.ws the site may look ugly, but it has some gem of an articles.. its helpful..
