Question:

How to build a stronger friendship?

Over 2 months ago my friend and I broke our friendship because there was so a lot of miss communication. I didn't exactly understood what he was or wanted. Like sometimes he would act like he didn't care and just tell me he would hurt me if we see each other. Other times he would be all flirty and ask weird questions. Yeah that doesn't sound like a very good friend but I still do care about him and he wasn't always like that until the beginning of summer.

Alright so I finally started texted my old guy yesterday after not speaking with him in over two months. I was very shocked when he even responded to me and we talked for a little bit. Like I got to know how he's been doing at college and where he works at, all that kind of fun stuff. But then in the middle of our conversation he just stopped completely sending messages that night :\. So I waited for a bit and then gave up and told him good night.

I'm feeling a little sad because I feel like I'm getting no where with him. Like I really want to try and stay only Friends with him but don't know exactly how to go about it. I'm thankful that he at least was kind enough to not ignore me so there is still some hope lol.

So please can anyone give me advice on how to build friendship again???

  1. Just think about it.

Is he worth the time and effort?

YES: Then stop bugging him. Let him text you for a change; don't smother him, and don't talk about your personal life toooo much, and also DONT seem like you're meddling in his business. Just be there for him whenever he needs a friend.

NOT REALLY: Why waste your time trying to be friends with some one who doesnt want to be your friend? Trial and error. There are plenty of people that deserve and want your friendship.

I DONT KNOW: Go low key. Be a good friend to him, but don't be BEST friends just yet. If he wants to talk to you, let him. If he wants time to himself, let him be. When he is being pissy at you, just don't reply to him, and when he is being flirty with you, just laugh it off with him. Make sure you put your heart out there for your friendship if you really want it to work, but if it's going sour, don't keep him as close.

    good luck!
