i am in highschool and as a senior prank next year i want to try and build a waterslide from the roof of the school to the ground.

i am wondering what the best way to do this would be. we could easily have around 30 people helping with this so manpower is not a problem. but how to make it and the amount of time we have to make it in is the hard part. does anyone know how to make a large safe water slide in less than 12 hours?

  1. HMMMM, I suspect this is not with the approval of the school. Certainly even well constructed, there can be liability issues, as well as legal issues involving any who participate.

12 hours sounds unreasonable at any rate, and I'll assume this is a covert operation. You don't state a roof height to ground level, which will matter. I assume you'll use THEIR water, which is another issue of legality. Any defacing of school property will also be an issue.

Certainly not knowing at all, what you intend in any design or construction, you should assume framework, even some scaffolding type and a base to hold any substance used to have the water flow over, IE: Rolls of rubber shower pan liner, heavy mil vinyl sheet, Dance floor Marley, etc.

Sounds to me an effort far beyond worth the bother.

    Just my two "sense"

  2. sounds like a prank heading for trouble--lol--my first thoughts is run to steel cables parallel 3 feet apart and hook tarps to it-should hold the weight-a little water and dawn- ought to fly down it-go from there maybe that will add some ideas for you-if you try this i am no way responsible--lol
