How to burn DVD CD with downloaded episodes but so i can play them at my DVD which not support DVDX???

Question

A friend of mine downloaded all Heroes episodes on two discs.

But this discs are playable on his computer, my computer and his DVD player. My DVD player doesn't support DVD X CDs. So i can't watch them on my dvd player.

How can i burn them to DVD cds so i can play them on my DVD player.

Should i first convert these avi files first or what??? I have never converted any files before but now i have DVDFLICK software downloaded and i think i could convert them!!!! To do that or there is something else!!!!!

You have to convert the file first, from Divx to Dvd and then try to burn it
