How to burn dvd(NTSC format) on a dvd

I'm converting .avi to .dvd(ntsc format)....now what program or how can i burn the new converted file onto a dvd. I would appreciate any free burning programs that will work as i do not have a credit card.

Standard DVD players read the .Vob format, the files you have now are in AVI format..
