How to burn files into dvd-r?

Question

i have some movies in my pc that i would like to transfer onto dvd-r, how do i do it?

i am completely ignorant about these things

If you just want to burn these movies to a dvd-r to watch on your pc at a later date then just do as the above answer states.

If you want to burn these movies onto a dvd-r to watch in a dvd player then you must convert these video files into video_ts files so as your dvd player will read/play them.

if you have a DVD Burner in yr pc/laptop then pop a blank DVD-R in and you should be greated with the auto player asking you what you want to do with the DVD select Burn DVD ussing windows then drag your film over and click the burn button and windows should burn it onto a disc for you
