I happen to have had several dvd's from friends of the v!$ta OS which I copied but cannot boot from while the dvd's borrowed were bottable. I just downloaded the setup myself.

This is the result after the download :

which then I opened the first rar file & extracted it's contents which resulted in : http://s267.photobucket.com/albums/ii296/funky2nite/?action=view&current=extractedfilesfromtorrent.jpg

This extracted data I burned as a data dvd obviously onto a dvd but I happen to CANNOT BOOT FROM THE DVD AGAIN!

The instructions were to burn image to dvd & boot from dvd.

am i doing something wrong?

  1. DVD Decrypter, totally free dvd converter and burner.

  2. That's not going to work.

having a 'boot' directory does not make your DVD bootable.

A bootsector does.  Copying file-by-file skips the bootsector.

Copy bootable DVDs as image-copies, not file-copies.
