Question:

How to buy Silipo gel discs online?

I really need to buy this item:

http://www.rainbosports.com/shop/site/product.cfm?id=4AC58D8A-475A-BAC0-534402211AE13744

Which is a Silipo silicone gel disc because my boot causes nerve irritation on my right foot (imagine landing an Axel without feeling your foot followed by a jolt of electricity on it and you get what I feel skating).

I have one which I use in my left boot, but it's getting old and it's chipping, so I need to buy more anyways. However, they don't sell them in mexico so I'm forced to buy them online.

However, the site above (stoopidly) doesn't let you put a Mexican address. I've gone to the official site of Silipo and it's the same problem all over again.

I have a working account for Ebay and Amazon (god only knows why those two sites have no issues), so if anyone can show me if either site has it, I'd be thankful. And if there's another online store that actually accepts a mexican address, that can work too. Thank! ;)

  1. www.bungapads.com

they're the same thing as silipo pads they do have a better quality too and they'll ship worldwide

  2. My ebay search for Silipo gel pads came up zero.  Amazon has Silipo products - squares - body pads (??) but I didn't see any specifically "disc".

Have you tried Bunga Pads?  They seem to be the "popular" brand of gel out here.  They have a phone number for international orders, so I assume they would allow it. http://www.bungapads.com/store.cfm/ses_/...

I used to use what was called "Silopads" . . . and then they came out with these Bunga Pads which is virtually the same thing (same with price - yikes!).  That for sure they have at  Amazon.  Otherwise, many of the skate shops online have them . . . then it's a matter of them shipping internationally.

It'd just be easier to just be able to order them online and be done with that . . . but sometimes you have to contact the store by email/phone regarding international orders (especially with the price of shipping).  It's an extra step, I know - an extra "inconvenience".

With all these scams going on, I know the smaller companies don't want to deal with international orders.  My friend has an skating apparel company and only deals with US orders.

Hope you get your pads soon . . . I know I couldn't skate without them!!!

**Edited:  I just read the international order info at

Rainbosports - it says they regret they cannot ship to Mexico, so that explains that.

**EDITED AGAIN:  You put me on a quest!!  USASkates has them and will ship internationally.

Also, Amazon has Silipos 10315, the 4" disc (called Silopad body disc which I guess is same "Silopad" I was talking about), but doesn't seem to have the smaller one (10305) http://www.amazon.com/10315-SILOPAD-BODY...

  3. Maybe just give Rainbo Sports a call and maybe they can help with your problem.  With their stores in my area, I've had a lot of contact with Rainbo.  They're very helpful and have a ton of experience.  Maybe they could help your over the phone more efficiently than over the internet!  I've ordered Slipos from there also.  Good luck!  :)
