I always wanted to buy my own Lotto ticket when I was little and always found the little place where they have all the forms to pick your numbers.

What I don't know is what do you do after you filled out the form? Do you go to the cash register and they will ring it up?

I hear it cost $1 to get a ticket....is there tax with that one dollar? Will I be paying $1 and 8 cents?

Just wanted to know I never go into gas station stores to find out in a long long time. So I figured I could ask...I know how to play the lotto just not how to get the ticket or how much it cost.

I blame my anti-social-ness for not asking.

  1. No it's $1 even. When you are done filling out the numbers take it to the cashier. You can do quick picks, and that will automaticly select your numbers for you.  I normally spent at least $5 a week.  Good luck.

  2. hi there are forms to pick ur own numbers ( personaly i dont like them ) i usually get quick pick ask the clerk and the comp picks them. I often mes up the forms and thats why i avoid it. I mainly but scarch cards which u just point to the card or i some cases tell them the number on the case. Scrath cards vary from 1-20 and the prizes range from the cost of the the ticket to a million or more depending on the game and state. There is no sales tax on lottery. NY,Nh,MA and i'm sure many other states have lotto vending machines for scratch cards in truckstops race tracks and elsewhere if u dont want to deal with clerks
