  1. You have to get a license from city hall. However, I don't think there are any licenses available from city hall because they only have so many cabs licensed at a time, so you have to buy a license from another driver or company. Last I heard, licenses were going for close to $100,000

  2. To be a taxi driver you now have to go to school first. If you pass you may be offered an ambassador taxi plate from the city. But you will have to purchase the vehicle to put the plate on.Or look in the help wanted ads and you may see a taxi company looking for drivers. The company will tell you what you need to do to drive for them.I know you also need a good driving record. You can call city hall and they will give you the info.you need to get started. That would probably be your best bet.

  3. You need to open a company...

And by the way I don't think it's illegal to be a taxi without been in a company. You split the money when you are from a company. But the company make you kind of promotion. (They told you where to go to pick up someone)

And I know they have kind of rule between taxi driver...You got to know those rules...

EX: At the train or bus station when people going out. The taxi

wait in line one by one to pick up someone.

    Thing like that you know...

    Good Luck!
