I am trying to buy a used car and the owner told me she is still making payment on the car. So how does the buying work???

She suggests that I pay her credit union how much we will agree on and she will pay the difference, then the credit union will transfer the title to me right away. Is it true?

thanks

  1. You will want to go with to the Credit Union and sign papers. If she has to pay a difference, it's important that all her money clears. She will also have to sign a Power Of Attorney. Good luck and you can email if you have questions

  2. She should transfer the title to you and then you can take out a loan to pay off the car.

Don't do what she's saying because you can never be sure that she'll pay the amount she says she'll pay.

  3. If the owner is not behind payment and you can go to your own bank and tell them you want a car loan to buy the ladys car.

If the owner are behind payment then she have to make up all the payment before she sell to you.

If you know the lady then make sure you write down everything on the people thats you will pay her credit union and she will pay the difference and both you and her signature on it with driver licence to protect your scam.
