Okay, I found a cool clothing website, but it is based in the UK, but they do ship to the USA. But all their merchandise is priced in whatever currency UK uses. I believe the euro? So how would I buy from them, could I use an American credit card?

  1. First, the UK uses the British pound for currency. Second, yes you should be able to use an American credit card, and they usually will convert the US dollar to the correct currency at the current exchange rate. Most credit cards do charge a foreign transaction fee for changing currency, so you will have to read the credit card contract to find out how much that is. Next you should find the exchange rate. The US dollar right now is pretty weak, and with the exchange rate, the cloths you want may cost a lot more than what you are expecting.

  2. I'm in the UK and I buy stuff from the USA a lot with my credit card, so I'm sure it works the other way around.

Be aware though that you may get charged import duty on the clothes when they enter the USA, especially if it's a high value order.
