How to buy used jet ski with out test drive ----- and dont loose???

  1. wow that sucks i would really want to test them before i buy. You never know what might be up. Good acceleration? good handling? your in a bad situation get it certified by a actual marine mechanic and see what he has to say. base a good decision of of that


  2. If you have to buy the jet ski without a test ride, I would advise hooking the jet ski up to some water and turning it on. Let it idle for a few minutes and if everything sounds fine then turn off the engine. Then go to a marine store and buy a cylinder compression check, hook that up and read the directions. Then I would just go through the jet ski and check out the wiring and body, look for loose wires or possible cracks in the hull. The best is to get a marine mechanic to check it out though.

  3. i don`t advise buying anything without a test drive and being checked out by a marine mechanic. if you must try to get some kind of agreement in writing and get it notarized so you have some legal ground if it is a lemon. i have owned many boats and the old saying is true. the two happiest days in your life are the day you buy your boat and the day you sell it.
