Thank you for your additional feedback. This issue is due to a bug in K9

that we are working to resolve. I will let you know when we have a version

of K9 that fixes this issue.

How to bypass blue coat k9 web protection only

thes way you will be disabiling the k9 web protection and you can enabile it at eny time just folow my steps here we go

1.plaese left click my computer

2. look at the top for hardware 

3.go to device manager

4.you will see on the top bar show/hide panel click it.

 4.you will now look at the right paneel go to more actions

5.click view show hidden devices

6.find and right click bckd disable it

7.restart you computer and you are done

 

8. when you will open your computer a msg will pop out the k9 web protection has been cropted just ignore it

if you wont to enable back do the same steps but just enable you will have to restart your computer.

OK... deleting the file allows access if your connection is disabled, but it DOES NOT allow you to see the things that you are not intended to see!!!!

Definitely as said bellow DELETE bckd.sys from C:\Windows\System32\DriversRestart and BAM you gets da pr0nz, da Youtubes, da Facebookz, and whatever the h**l else ya wantz and best part is Guest6047 is a bullshiter IT WILL NOT LOCK UP all you are doing is deleted the plugin itself

if you have administrative rights, go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ And remove bckd.sys then restart your computer and Voila no more K9, when your done, put the file back at its place and restart computer and K9 is back in service.

If you don't have administrative rights, then take a Linux version CD bootable, i have Backtrack 4, run the CD when your computer starts, choose LiveCD; use the tool chntpw and remove the password for the admin, save the file, restart computer and logon as Admin. To put password back, undo what u did...if you have question with BT4 or chntpw google it, all the answers are on the web.

1) get a lisence of the product through your email
2) download the program
3) go to registry and delete the key bloacoat system in HKEY LOCAL MACHINE/SOFTWARE
4) stop the process K9filter
5) go to program files and delete all the files of the program
6) try to open a page with a browser. You can't.
7) Install again the program (lisence required possibly)
8) A flag is opened in the down right corner of your screen. You press it and you ve been asked to give a new password.

Get a Ubuntu Linux live CD, boot up off it.  Voila! you've bypassed K9.

Bypassing Windows Vista's Parental Control is almost impossible unless you chose to restore your computer to its default factory settings, meaning that you have to clear all of your data and installed programs. Restart your computer, press Alt and F10 together until Vista is loading, and you should be able to see the options. And if you want to bypass through the Blue Coat web filter, simply just use a free proxy service from https://kproxy.com and type the URL of any website in the dialog box provided. But the downside of proxy services is that you do not have the ability to view videos related contents, so this depends on your usage needs.
