  1. very simple, here's how it works. (scale may be different depending on the school)

    A = 4 points

    B = 3 points

    C = 2 points

    D = 1 point

    take how many A's you got and multiply that by 4

    take how many B's you got and multiply that by 3

    take how many C's you got and multiply that by 2

    take how many D's you got and multiply that by 1

    Add all those numbers up and divide by the number of grades you have.

    for example, say you got 2 A's, 1 B, 1 C, and 2 D's (6 grades).

    2 A's x 4 points = 8 points

    1 B x 3 points = 3 points

    1 C x 2 points = 2 points

    2 D's x 1point  = 2 points

    8 points + 3 points + 2 points + 2 points = 15 total points

    15 total points / 6 grades = 2.5 grade point average

    if you take honors or AP classes I believe you get an extra point for an A or B, so in that case, an A would be worth 5 points and a B would be worth 4 points.
