How to calculate aggregate GDP per capita?

I have GDP per capita for 10 countries, and I want to compute the aggregate GDP per capita for these countries.

  1. You have to sum both GDP (in the same currency) and population. Then calculate the ratio.
    Alternatively, multiply each GDP per capita by the respective weight (population of the country/population of 10 countries)and sum the 10 results.
