I am trying to calculate density changes when I dissolve some solids into a liquid. I need the density to guess at flow changes. In our system we are dissolving manganese acetate in crystalline form into methanol. approx 100g into 250ml of methanol. how do I figure out the density change without measuring it directly?

  1. had it been a common salt / solvent mixture,... there are tables of densities vs. concentration on the net & in the CRC handbook

ffor yoiur mixture, I'll bet it will have to be measured directly
