How to calculate returns for an etf Bond?

Question

Can someone give me an example of how to calculate the following

Take this ETF bond http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:TLT

1) How much money would I have in it if I invested $500 every month for one year starting 05/2007 and ending 05/2008

2) How did you calculate it?

3) Where is the information found for me to make the same calculation for another etf?

Just look up the returns at Morningstar.com or other financial sites.  They've already cranked the math for you.

Returns for etfs can be found at this site. Just key in the ticker symbol.
