How to call India from Pakistan?

I will be travelling from Canada to Pakistan. While there, I would like to make phone calls to India. What is the cheapest/easiest/best way to do so, apart from using international roaming from my Canadian Mobile service provider?

or

So it will be cheaper from pakistan's street phones to call india than your canadian roaming phones.

Take two tin cans, run a string between the two. Communication should then be possible.
