How to capture a video screenshot on pc screen?

How to capture a video on pc screen when i use printscreen key and paste it in paint the video appear as black area and no images i use win xp sp2 and it fails help?

Most video players have the video screenshot capture function, try to find the capture menu out. If your player does not have the capture function, there is another way to do this, but it could be used in a few video format like AVI, FLASH, FLV.  Democreator can help you to record the screenshot and you can save it as a picture. Play the video with windows media player (10) then press ctrl + i;

I don't know if it works in 9 or 11
