Care of Pachira / Money Tree?

I just got my first money tree and I'm a Little confused about how to care for it.. the care instructions say that it need alot of sunlight but not direct sunlight but don't they get direct light in the wild? then it says when watering to keep sure the soil i aways wet and it also say to only water when the soil is dry..

where i live i get the morning sun and it lights up my whole place ever where in my house gets direct sunlight for a least 8 hours and it's really dry here....this is in the ottawa reign any help on what is ok for this tree would be help full i want it to last.... and if i have it long enough for it to grow bigger how would i go about replanting it.. thanks

from soil up my plant is almost a foot high i want it to grow to about 4 feet hight how often should i replant it and how fast does this type grow

  1. According to google info. : The bigger the pot the bigger the plant. Likes only filtered light. Direct sunlight causes the leaves to burn.

    Use all-purpose fertilizer once a month.

    Allow plant to dry out between watering.

    The plant is easy to take of.

    The Pachira is supposed to bring good luck. I hope it happens for you.
