me and my sister tried putting a collar on my kitten, and she tried to take it off and that resulted in her scratching herself.

it's gotten worse, and she's loosing hair on that side, and she also has another one on the other side of her head.(like where her eyebrows are supposed to be)

How am i supposed to clean it or keep her from scratching it?

we're planing on taking her to the vet,but we can't do it this week, but I don't want her to have to deal with that for another week.

  1. call teh VET!

and put bassatracin, and paroxide on it...

  2. Clean the scratch or bite right away with soap and water. Wash it 3 to 4 times a day with soap and water. Keep it clean and dry. If possible, keep the wound higher than the level of the heart. This will help to lessen the pain and swelling. Your cat may also need to take antibiotic (an-ti-bi-ah-tik) medicine to help keep the wound from getting infected.

  3. first DO NOT USE neosporan on the cut.

just wash it and keep checking for red / Salt water might be the best wash.

  4. It sounds a bit weird that she would losing fur from scratching her self. I have had cat's that come home with scratches all over them from other cats and they never had their fur fall out. Only the fur that is on the scab that falls off.
