So, I went to a local pet-store today to get a friend for my beta, and I bought what was labeled as a "trilineatus corydora." I wasn't too sure that was what it was, but the shop owner assured me it was the right fish.
I had never been here before, I have a saltwater dealer, but my friend raved about him and I've tentatively branched into freshwater- so why not add another dealer to my A-list?
It looked nice enough- no dead fish floating around, clean establishment, clean tanks, etc...
However, after I acclimated my new 'corydora' I did a little digging, and no I didn't buy a corydora- I bought a fish I have never even heard of before!
How do I take care of a Striped Raphael catfish? Which looks NOTHING like the fish I wanted! It's in a 10 gallon tank right now, with a nice little filter, airstones, some plastic plants, and a rock/cave thing. I'd just return the thing, but I won't have time for about four days and my beta tolerates him, so maybe I'll keep it.
