  1. Gee if I had asked this question I would have been called a pervert.

  2. Presuming you are aware of the early learning goals / stepping stones etc you need to have 1 or 2 of the objectives in mind that you are observing. Then focus on a group of about 6 children. Maybe you have set up a specific activity in order for the children to meet the objective or maybe they are free playing. Take short and quick notes about whether or not each of the children meet your chosen objective.

    Hope that helps

  3. Thats what my mum does but she's not hear now she is in charge of people called ella's she's not hear righ now though sorry

  4. I'm not really a teacher or have a vast knowledge about observing children, but watch how some aspects grow, like seeing the difference between to similar photos or them feeling the temperature outside (hot or cold), some fine motor movements, etc.  If you see a bad habit starting, pinpoint it and stop it.  I say get a notebook and observe the child's every move.  Before going to bed, look through what's going on with your child's life and see what is negative and positive.  Again if a certain trend is consistent, stop it and stuff like that.

  5. observe them in a natural setting such as a playground or in a classroom with the parents or teachers permission first of course, you dont want to be seen as a stalker
