How to carry surgical instruments around?

I had to buy a few surgical items for a class i'm taking. (Scalpels, forceps, scissors, probes) Whats the best and safest way to carry them around?

  1. You can buy carry cases...


  2. the cheap way: plastic tool box w/ some rubber lining. you can use foam pads for a snug fit (so your tools don't rattle around)

    i use a small plastic fishing kit.

    or you could buy an expensive stainless toolbox.  

  3. Most of them will come with a case - something like a knife scabbard, but designed for that particular implement. If you can set aside one section of your briefcase and put foam on the top and bottom, the instruments will stay snugly in place and be safe to carry around.
