How to cash a life insurance check?

i sold my lincoln 3000 and the guy gave me a life insurance check from MetLife.....i when to the plp bank to cash it and they said i have to wait 5 days so they can see if the check is good..can i cash it anywhere else oh do i have to wait 5 days!!

You have to wait.  Some banks say 10 days

You should have asked for a cashier's check or bank check from the buyer.  Your bank wants to make sure that the check is good before they give you any money.  If the check bounces - good luck in getting paid from the buyer.

hopefully you didn't transfer the title - wait until the check clears.
