How to catch bass?

i have a pond next door and i wanna catch bass.i think it only has smallmouth bass.i keep reading these things about bass hiding in the weeds or low or whatever.but it doesnt work.i jigged a worm for hours with nothing.help me.shalow or deep? bobber with worm or bobber with menow? jig or mr.twister worm.? (small mouth.) possibly large. most detailed awsner gets best anwser

if i were you i would sit a worm on the bottom weeds or not!

go to the pond towards night right before dark. get some super spook juniors and use the walk the dog technique. works for both large and smalll mouth

if you can catch some crayfish and gently cast them out into different areas and let them sink slowly (no weight) normally a bass can't refuse them...hook them in the tail with a size 4 hook - don't forget if the fish see you they normally won't bite either....

try it in various areas of the pond - don't reel it in right away and keep you line loose - when they nail it - let them run a bit because they may pick it up and put it in their mouth but not far enough for you to catch them...

Crayfish also work good for most other fish too - 2 or 3 inchers work best

Look under flat rocks for them - watch out for snakes!!  crayfish will normally be in rocky areas - if you can't find them in the pond - try a nearby stream - remember to keep them in cool water so they don't die.

gently reel them in as you may get a strike as you're doing it...and you don't want to kill them... sometimes when you first cast them into the pond /lake they will smash them - other times they will follow them to the bottom to see if they will walk around - if they do - BANG!!   other times they just aren't interested...

BTW's smallmouth love crayfish...
