How to catch crickets loose in a house?

my mate has all these crickets that have escaped into his house, loads of them.

what would be the best tactics to catch/kill/get rid of them?

if u dont want to kill them......try to catch them..what i do is that when they re stationary at 1 place i charge them with my hand and get them inside and clinch my fists ( not too tight or itll crush them)just be sure u dont put pressure and leave some space in ur fist so u cn feel them move and leave em outside..if u find the eggs ..either leave em outside or destroy em.

Lol!  They might have mated and laid eggs by now, so I would just spray for them.  That will get rid of the ones you see and the ones you don't see.

A frog is a good idea, but I would suggest a chicken.  We have friends in Florida who, when moving into a new house, had cockroaches every where.  They complained to the landlord and he put a couple chickens in the house for a day . . . problem solved.  Although you will have to clean up some chicken poo.
