  1. try the old carp bait : strawberry or cherry jello, cornmeal, flour and sugar and 2 cups of water bring to a boil put in the frig. for 2 hours to stiffen up , if it is still to soft  add more flour to stiffen it up to stay on the hook . good luck and good fishing!!!

  2. My best trick is the float technique;

    Try to situate yourself so they can't see you, and if they can hold still when they surface and refrain from making loud noises. Bait selections include but are not limited to; Gardedos, French fries, chips, bread, and anything stinky that floats.

    If this fails try snagging them with a treble hook with a sinker at the top of it. This helps control the location of the hook. Not sure if this would be legal but it works especially if you can see your target in shallow water.

  3. I think with carp it depends on what kind of carp it is that determines what they'll eat...I hear some folks have luck with par boiled potato, corn, hominy and dough balls.

  4. If they're rolling around on top a lot they could be spawning late and will be very difficult to catch.Just be patient and keep trying a few different baits.Also if you can just use the bait to cast rather than a weight as to not spook the fish as much.Try going more in the evening time and that may help also.

    You can even try chumming with the bait you'll use for about an hour before,just not too much and that will get them use to what you're using

  5. try this 1 above me

    sounds like he knows something

  6. well what are you doing casting out and waiting or bait casting? if  casting and waiting, use hot dogs or somthing, if you are bait casting use somthing with a worm on it and reel it in and cast it out.

  7. Let some frozen corn ferment in a bucket of water for a few days.

    Go to you favorite pond and dump a bunch on the shore and walk away.

    Do it again the next day.

    Do it again the next day except hook some on your hook at the end of you favorite rod. Or just bring a club and bat a few from the shore...

  8. corn and a strong hook should catch them for you...

    If the owner wants them gone due to over crowding and you can see them - you could try snagging them with a big treble hook - or a weighted treble hook or a big spoon with a large treble hook  - be sure to check the state fishing regulations to make sure that isn't violating any laws in that state.
