I am an avid experienced bass and walleye fisherman. But I can only find walleye in the spring and early summer on this 200 ft crystal clear mountain lake in Oklahoma. I long line troll at night or lindy rig about 20 down durning the day. But by the end of June I cant find them not even out to 40 ft. I have beat the water to a foam and it is like they have disappeared. I know they are in the lake so can some norther walleye expert help me catch them?

  1. does the lake have cisco, white fish, herring ,or any shad suspended in it? if so troll planer boards  with either a rapala or a night crawler harness. about 100 ft. out on the board and 20-40 ft. out to the side.

bottom bouncers just how they sound. a wire weight attached to your main line with a crawler harness attached, keep this rig at a 45 degree angle if you let out anyfurther youm will snag. good to about 40 ft. down. troll about 1-2 miles per hr. on a clear lake fish the wind swept shore or a wind swept point , fish early and late. Targeting  suspended fish are your best bet. For tackle - http://www.cabela`s.com or http://www.basspro.com for information - http://www.in-fisherman.com

  2. i fish there too, do i know u???? I fish in Lake Arbucle and i use a baby bass bomber it is a crank bait and i pulled out a 6 and 3 ouncebass friday night it also works on walleye carp (beleive it or not) and pike they were all decent u should try it.

  3. we have the same problem in the mts of va

i man told me you need a rig called a bottom bouncer

i seen them but yet to try it

maybe you can check into that

from what i know the weight stays down and the hook rig stays up with just a nightcrawler on the hook

fish between 25 and 30 ft

  4. Hmmm, Sounds like you're fishing in or around Broken Bow lake.

The fish go up stream to spawn, & Brokenbow lake is pritty deep.

Sometimes they go deeper in the summer, try using the same bait, just go deeper than 40ft try 60ft.
