I'm reorganizing my library and I'm splitting it by fiction and non-fiction. Where would you place the Magic School Bus books. They are fiction characters in them...however they are a wonderful resource for non-fiction information also! Where would you put them? If you are a school librarian...where does your library have them located? Thanks for your help everyone!!!

  1. fiction - more specifically, fantasy

  2. under buses and fantasy and learning?

  3. Strictly speaking, the Magic School Bus books are works of fiction because the characters who have the magical adventures do not exist and are imaginary. Learning "real world" stuff is okay in fiction!

It may be more useful to divide books- especially if we're talking about elementary school age language art standards- between narrative (which this book is an example of) and expository (strictly explanation- like a science text).

    Hope this helps a little!

  4. I would place them in their own section.
