Question:

How to change a tomboy into a lady?

Been pretty rough all my life. I wear eye-liner & mascara. I usually wear jeans, tank tops and boots. I'd like to learn how to look more feminine when I try (hair, nails, clothes, make-up) but don't know where to start. I'm in my 30's. Any ideas?

  1. Yes, you really don't want to be one of those....OMG, I broke a nail!!..lol  Some of us are very feminine but in a tomboy way, that's how i like it. Its the attitude that has to change, not how you dress. I have tried to get rid of my balls and they just keep rolling back. I am just me and being just me is just fine.

  2. What's wrong with a tomboy? I was a tomboy, and I guess I turned into a version of a lady. I still prefer my jeans to slacks, tennis shoes to heels. There is a show on TLC, called "What Not To Wear", they really have great fashion, hair and make-up tips and changes. I would suggest watching this show a few times. In no time at all, you'll feel feminine and  and okay with it.

    Good Luck!

  3. wear skirt instead of jeans. grow long hair and keep your nails. maybe you can try to wear some s**y clothes and go to shopping mall. Let all the guys stare at you. then u'll have motivation to become lady.

  4. well i'm a tomboy to ,stop hanging out  with guys and start hanging  gurlz  it goignt to be hard at first im like my boyz on tbs thats how im but i don't drink and start whereing dress and nice shoes and cute shirts oh and act like a lady if your on a date u should buy the book girlz gudie to manners u can find any where like borns and novles good luck

  5. You could start with highlights in your hair and a nice feminine layered haircut.

Try getting a professional spray tan and your finger nails manicured and toes pedicured.

Buy a pretty flirty dress and some kitten heels which are comfy and easy to walk in.

Wear some lip gloss as well as your normal eye-liner and mascara.

Pop in to your local coffee shop on the mall with a girlfriend smile and giggle and you'll be in before you know it.

We all have a lady like persona within you will do fine. Keep in mind the lady who you are should be good enough for anyone who truly respects and cares for you.

    Good Luck

  6. Eyeliner and mascara is a good start in getting that 'feminine' look. You just have to know how to use it. If you have small eyes, only wear eyeliner thinly on the top, not the bottom and if you have big eyes, vice versa. To have the appearence of even skin tone, apply a light foundation. I like to use bare minerals because it gives a natural look and isn't time consuming at all. Don't forget to apply pink blush to the apples of your cheeks for a healthy looking glow. Also try going to get a manicure and pedicure; it's very relaxing. Just ask for the french tip on both hands and feet (very feminine looking) but you can play it up with some color instead of the normal white tip to give off that younger, vibrant feel. When looking for clothes try to find things that fit you. You don't want anything too tight or too baggy. If you are a little on the heavier side, don't fret going into stores for plus size women. Remember, you want things that fit you; if you buy something too tight you will get that 'muffin-top' and ultimately look heavier and if you buy clothes that are too big for you, that can also portray a larger image.  And when it comes to shopping, DON'T be afraid of color and prints. Take risks but overall make sure you match. Maybe you can take a girly friend with you to ask for her opinion on certain outfits. I hope I helped, good luck! :]
