Ok, so the toilet in my apartment is having an annoying problem. The bowl doesn't fill up with enough water so I have to get a cup and pour more water in it so that it will flush. How do I change the amount of water that is in my toilet bowl?!?!

  1. The fill tube which runs from the fill valve to the overflow tube adds water to the bowl after the flush.  It may have come off or be kinked.  If no water is coming out, the fill valve is stopped up or needs replacing.

  2. YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE AMOUNT OF WATER IN THE BOWL,BUT YOU CAN RAISE THE LEVEL IN THE TANK..DEPENDING ON WHAT KIND OF FILL VALVE YOU HAVE.IF ITS A FLUID MASTER YOU CAN DO IT IN 2 DIFF.PLCES,1THE LOCK RING BELOW THE PLASTIC FLOAT UNLOCK IT AND RAISE THE TOP SECTION UP SOME AND LOCK IT BACK,2 THE ADJ. ON THE FLOAT ITSELF CAN BE RAISED OR LOWERED.MAKE SURE YOU TURN THE SUPPLY LINE OFF BEFORE YOU ATTEMP THE 1ST ONE

  3. you can't change the level in the bowl, but you can change the level in the tank.  that's where the power comes from the more water in the tank the better the flush..  raise the level to it's highest point in the tank without the water spilling into the overflow pipe.

    good luck to ya

  4. get some one to adjust your flush cistern

  5. you cannot change the level in your toilet bowl . it is set by  pipe going out.

  6. Open the tank, and look at the flow pump. The water shuts of when flushed when the tank refills to a point where the switch, which floats on water, rises up and cuts of the water. There should be a method in which you can either elongate the pump itself, or higher the switch so that it requires more water to push the switch, Most toilets i have seen can be adjusted  by twisting the pump, which should elongate the height of the pump and thus cause the water level needed to push the floating switch up, therefore increasing the water level in the bowl as well.

  7. Adjust fill valve shutoff height. If you have the old school ballcock style, support the rod with your left hand and bend the rod ever so slightly up or down, depending on if your trying to raide or lower the level., down lower, up higher. If you have the newer telescoping style fill valve, there is either a metal clip with a sliding rod or a plastic twist adjustment you can twist with your fingers, same principles of raising and lowering the water level apply. Also, keep your waterline around 1 inch from the top of the overflow tube on your flush valve.
