How to change auto insurance?

I pay my auto insurance every 6 months. I want to change insurance company from 'company A' to 'company B' because it's cheaper. I already paid a bill for company A and still have about 4 months until renewal. If I change to company B now, will I get a refund from company A? How does this work? I don't want to wait another 4 months with company A.

if you change you will get  4 months back for company A before you cancel call company A  and ask if you will get all your money back

If you are going with "company B" make sure  you cancel "company A" and that "B" is active so  you are not without insurance.  Give "A" a couple weeks to do paper work and they should credit you the $$ excluding cancellation fees etc.
