How to change laptop settings fro plug-in to battery?

I have an intel centrino duo laptop and i dont know what i accidently did. Now when i unplug my laptop it turns off. Even though there is alot of battery life in it. Please help.

change the settings of ur comp control panel -> power options. or ur laptop cud be stuffed up like mine coz it requires battery to be plugged in.
