  1. Open Yahoo Messenger on your PC.

    Click "Messenger" in the top left-hand toolbar and then select "Preferences".

    Down near the bottom, select "edit mobile device."

    I think you actually have to set up a new one, and delete the old.  That's what worked best for me.
