We have a peculiar problem. We created a group for the club in our college. we created a 'yahoo id' in common so that it can be passed on to the juniors. The common id was used as the owner of the group "kcttamilmandram". But unfortunately, the account has been lost, (we are not able to get the password. and the account was not used for more than 3 months). As the other people in the group were only moderators, we now are not able to nominate any new moderators. Please suggest us on how to change the ownership from the old ID to any of the new ids.. Or provide help on reactivating the account.

  1. you're in a tough spot, and you're not the only group either with this issue. all you can do is send in this form and expect not much. Yahoo will not appoint ownership, at all and since there are moderators there's not much they would do. really, the only thing you can do is leave it as is, or create a new group and get those members over to it. I'd suggest not using a shared account for ownership, but the owner have a few ID's as owner for a bakup that they have control of, or/ and appointing another owner that is a member
