How to charge a battery that refuses to charge PLEASE HELP ME?

it's for my mm-8500 dvd player... i followed correct instructions but just WONT CHARGE HOW TO FIX THIS QUICK PLEASE

  1. its a bad battery...to prevent possible fire id get a replacement


  2. You can try connecting a resistor across the battery terminals, overnight, in a fireproof metal container, in the garage or outdoors, and see if a full drain will allow you to charge it again.

    Probably these guys are right. It's time to go battery shopping.
