How to charge my ipod NANO?

I just got this new IPOD NANO... and i tried to put it in the computer with my adoptor and itunes came on.... but now when i unplug the adoptor my ipod isnt responding like when i press the buttons it doesnt work... What do u think is happening

if you dont have battery left, it wont work. plug it up to the computer to charge it.

and make sure that when you unplug it, you disconnect it first, dont just pull the cord out.

put the thing that goes into the computer and wait until it says charging and if i doesn't work try again  and if doesn't work don't what is happening i have the same  i pod nano and i charges  i can honstley say that u should take it back to the store and see what  they can do and or get a repair person that fixes ipods to look  at it ...  try restarting th e ipod.

eject the ipod first then un plug it, to restart the ipod, hold the menu key and the center key at the same time untill the black screen comes up, then let go and w8 for it to boot up...
