To start chatting,first you should register your name.For example u can chat in gmail as follows.First click www.gmail.com in the adress .Then you will get some search results.Then click on sign up for orkut.then u can enter your information & register your name there.After that u should make friends or invite ur friends to join in that group.Then u can start chatting.

if u want to chat in yahoo messenger first install the yahoo messenger than u have the yahoo account write yr id and password ant after log in u have to add yr frnds in yr frnd list... there is a button to add frnds click it and there u have to type id of yr frnd whom u want to add in yr frnds list then yr frnd have to accept yr invitation and when u both r online u can chat with him or her by sending ims (Instant messeges)... when yr frnd is online u have to click on his or her name, a box will open and there u have to type msg and send to yr frnd... its toooo easy dear....
