Question:

How to check for damages in Hardwood floors, Granite and Marble

Hello.

I am moving into a brand new condo next week. I would like any advice on how to check if the hardwood floors, granite counter tops and marble counter tops and tiles are damaged. What is the best way of checking? The eye may not be able to check for everything...

thanks!

  1. As far as the granite and marble...run your hands lightly over the surfaces to check for any gouges or knicks that your eye may have missed.

Hardwood floors are almost always imperfect unless they were recently installed. Be sure to maove any objects and check underneath just in case they may be trying to disguise something.

A few imperfections usually give hardwood its character :)

Good luck! If you cant see any flaws with the eye, then you should be in good shape though!
