How to check the value of old stamps?

I have stamps from 2 - 4 years old; however, I can't tell the value on them because it doesn't say the price; it only has pictures like the American flag, Liberty Bell.,etc. Is there a website where I can check the value instead of risking putting a 39cent stamp on a 42?
